The Liberal Media Are Out of Control!

First, they didn't report the 450 economists who endorsed personal accounts for Social Security. Second, they have been under-reporting Democratic Congressman Robert Wexler's tax-hiking proposal. Perhaps, as Don Luskin said, in the hopes that it will go away. Now they totally distort Robert Pozen's comments at the Economic Roundtable event held at the Treasury Department today. The latest headlines include: "Drop private accounts - US Social Security advisor" and "Finance expert questions private accounts". I was at the meeting. Pozen said right in front of me that his own reform plan includes personal accounts that carve 2% out of payroll taxes. These reporters selectively tune their ears waiting for that one sound bite that they can contort to fit their Bush-bashing, liberal agenda. This is unethical, immoral, and biased reporting. Pure and simple.
