He's Done With The AARP
Here's a great letter to the editor of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:AARP wants me to renew my 11-year membership. With their recent letter, I think they made up my mind for me. More than 20 years ago my parents were terrorized by some who bellowed across the countryside that Ronald Reagan was going to destroy their Social Security. Though gone now, my folks literally lost sleep over it, despite my efforts to calm them. After putting my parents through hell, they now say that what Reagan did was so good, that everything is OK, and it is now George W. Bush who is trying to destroy Social Security. AARP's role in this latest travesty against truth is despicable. They have aligned themselves with the politics of fear to frighten the weak while attacking a brave president who is concerned about our children and grandchildren. Shame on you AARP, and good-bye. I'm not re-upping. Daniel J. Robinson West Deer
